Hey there, democracy!

How do we want to shape our society going forward? Through active debate and exchange, we can continually redefine our democratic co-existence. We live democracy every day – in the Town Hall, and in companies, clubs, schools and families. Fundamental and human rights, as well as the Constitution, provide us with robust foundations. However, as a result of our actions, democracy is constantly in motion. Again and again democracy comes up against its limits and requires our joint deliberation, level-headedness and critical reflection.

The exhibition “Hey there, democracy!” combines elements of current discourse with the history of the Graz as a city. It provides information and opportunities to share your own opinions and experiences and offers inspiration for how to think about democracy, whilst leaving room for questions. And this exhibition makes it clear: it’s not just about making yourself heard – listening is also essential! Got it?!
